Mission Statement:
“Our mission is to encourage a mentoring lifestyle between caring adults and youth through relationship building opportunities such as educational tutoring, life skills development, career counseling,and spiritual growth.”
HISTORY OF APX MENTORING:
APX Mentoring, Inc is a nonprofit youth organization formed to serve the need for quality mentoring relationships in the communities of Lawndale and Hawthorne. APX stands for ALL PURPOSE EXPERIENCE, in that we desire for an entire purposeful experience to take place. This program was initiated by Robert Pene, as a response to the cry for help from the youth in the South bay community. Robert, also known by many as APX or Mr. P, established mentoring relationships with various youth throughout Lawndale and Hawthorne. As time progressed more and more young people became involved in meaningful mentoring relationships. Our goal is to make an impact in our communities through quality mentoring relationships.
